DARKWOLF WOD

TBI-Adapted CrossFit // Modified Daily WODs

What Is This? [ toggle ]

CrossFit.com publishes a daily WOD designed for the general population. For many in the TBI community, those workouts aren't safe to follow as written — high impact, max effort, and overhead volume that can trigger symptoms or cause injury.

This project takes each day's public WOD and generates two modified versions:

TBI-Adapted — Intensity capped at RPE 7-8, high-impact movements swapped for lower-impact alternatives, intracranial pressure managed, warmup and cooldown included. Built for athletes 1+ years post-concussion who want to train hard but smart.

Shoulder-Safe — All kipping, heavy overhead, and snatch movements replaced with shoulder-safe alternatives at full training intensity. This version exists because I have two torn rotator cuffs and needed a way to keep training without making them worse. If that's you too, this is for you.

This is an experiment — exploring whether mainstream CrossFit programming can be systematically converted into something accessible for communities that are typically left out. New WODs published daily.
